CSV Statement Import

Downloading your transactions from internet banking as a file and loading it into a budgeting app — full data, no bank login shared.

Every NZ bank can export transaction history as a CSV (comma-separated values) file — a plain spreadsheet of dates, descriptions and amounts. Importing that file into a budgeting app delivers the same data a live feed would, with one difference: your internet banking credentials never go anywhere.

The trade-off is rhythm. A feed updates itself; an import happens when you do it. For a weekly money check-in, a two-minute export covers the gap — and many people prefer the deliberate ritual.

CSV import is free on every Owdyn plan, with duplicate detection so overlapping exports are always safe.
