Changelog

What we shipped, and why.

Owdyn is in open beta and moving quickly. This page is the honest record — features, fixes, and what’s still in testing, written plainly.

July 2026

Shipped

CSV import, rebuilt end to end

One server-authoritative parser with a what-you-see-is-what-you-get preview, remembered per-account column mappings, smarter duplicate detection, and credit-card payments recognised as transfers — in any import order.

Shipped

Unlimited accounts on every tier

Account caps are gone, including on Free. Add every account you have — the paid tiers differentiate on sync and intelligence, not on how much of your own money you may look at.

Shipped

Guided tour and setup checklist

New accounts now get a short guided tour right after onboarding, plus a dashboard checklist that tracks your setup — first account, first import, first budget — and gets out of the way when you’re done.

Improved

Debt payoff simulator chart, redesigned

The Debt Cockpit’s debt-over-time chart was rebuilt to app-chart quality, with a hover crosshair and tooltip so you can read the exact balance at any point on the payoff curve.

Improved

Sign-in security hardening

Identity-first Google sign-in with an explicit consent step, cross-account access guards, and automatic alerting on repeated authentication failures. 2FA remains available on every plan.

In testing

Automatic bank sync (Akahu)

Connected-bank management arrived in Accounts — a summary of linked banks with a manage drawer and a “Sync now” that forces a fresh pull. Auto-sync remains in testing while our open-banking work with Akahu completes; it comes to Plus and Wise at launch. CSV import stays free for everyone, always.

The beta foundation

Owdyn launched into open beta with the full core: Safe to Spend with a tap-through breakdown, budgets, savings goals, bills and subscriptions, BNPL tracking for Afterpay, Laybuy and Zip, the Debt Cockpit with payoff strategies, CSV import for every NZ bank, NZ merchant recognition, AI category suggestions, forecasting, weekly email recaps, and light and dark themes.

No waitlist

Watch it improve from the inside.

Owdyn is free during beta — and beta users shape what ships next. Every piece of feedback lands in front of the person who builds the fix.
