After this guide, you'll be able to: Add a bank account or credit card and enter your current balance.

- 1
Open Accounts from the navigation
In the sidebar (desktop) or bottom navigation (mobile), tap "Accounts". This shows all your connected accounts and their current balances.
- 2
Tap "+ Add Account"
The Add Account form opens as a modal. You'll choose an account type, give it a name, and enter the starting balance.
- 3
Choose the account type
Select the type that matches your account: Checking (everyday bank account), Savings, Credit Card, Cash, or Investment. The type affects how the account is treated in your net worth and Safe-to-Spend calculations.
Credit cards are treated as liabilities — the balance you owe reduces your net worth. Checking and savings accounts add to it.
If you're not sure, "Checking" is the right choice for most NZ everyday accounts (ANZ Go, ASB Smart Saver used as everyday, etc.).
- 4
Enter your account name and current balance
Give the account a name you'll recognise — "ANZ Everyday", "Kiwibank Savings", "Visa Rewards". For the balance, use your current balance from online banking. If you're adding a credit card, enter the amount you currently owe (e.g. $450, not the credit limit).
- 5
Save and repeat for other accounts
Tap "Save". The account appears in your list. You can add as many accounts as you like — repeat the process for each bank account, credit card, or cash wallet you want to track.
What happens next
With at least one account added, you're ready to import transactions. Head to the CSV Import guide to bring in your transaction history.
