How to export ASB transactions as CSV
After this guide, you'll be able to: download your ASB transaction history as a CSV file and import it into Owdyn
Before you start: You'll need access to ASB FastNet Classic on a desktop or laptop browser.

- 1
Log in to ASB FastNet Classic
Go to fastnet.asb.co.nz and sign in with your ASB username and password. CSV export is only available on the full desktop site — not the ASB mobile app.
If you usually use the ASB app, use the same username and password here.
- 2
Select the account you want to export
From the Accounts overview, click the account name whose transactions you want to download — for example, your Streamline account, eSaver, or credit card. You'll export each account separately.
- 3
Open Transaction History
Click the History tab or View history link within the account. You'll see a list of recent transactions.
- 4
Set your date range
Use the date range fields to select the period you want to export. For a first import, we recommend the last 3 months — enough to set meaningful budgets. ASB supports up to 12 months per export.
Importing 3 months is enough to see your spending patterns. You can always import more history later.
- 5
Click Export and choose CSV
Click the Export button near the top-right of the transaction list. A dropdown appears — select CSV as the format. Click Export or Download to save the file to your computer.
- 6
Import the CSV into Owdyn
In Owdyn, go to Accounts, select your account, and click Import CSV. Upload the file you downloaded. Owdyn maps ASB's columns automatically and detects any duplicates if you've imported before.
Owdyn handles ASB's date format (DD/MM/YYYY) and signed amounts automatically.
What happens next
Your ASB transactions will appear categorised in your transaction list. From here you can set budgets, see your Safe-to-Spend, and track your spending patterns over time.
