How to archive an account you no longer use

After this guide, you'll be able to: Archive an old account so it's hidden from active views without losing any transaction history.

Published 21 April 2026

  1. 1

Open the account you want to archive

In Accounts, tap the account name to open the account detail view.

  2. 2

Open the account menu and choose "Archive"

Tap the three-dot menu (⋯) or the settings icon on the account. Choose "Archive account". Owdyn will confirm that the account will be hidden from active views but all data will be preserved.

Archived accounts are removed from net worth and Safe-to-Spend calculations. Historical reports still include their data up to the archive date.

  3. 3

    Confirm the archive

Tap "Archive" in the confirmation dialog. The account disappears from your main accounts list but is accessible from "Archived accounts" in the Accounts section settings.

What happens next

You can unarchive an account at any time by going to Archived accounts and tapping "Restore". Archiving is always reversible.
