Use Owdyn with Westpac
Owdyn supports Westpac from day one. Export your transactions from Westpac One online banking, import the file, and get one honest number — your balance with bills, BNPL and savings goals already spoken for.

Log in to Westpac One
Go to westpac.co.nz and click Log in. Enter your customer ID and password to access Westpac One.

Open the account you want to export
From the accounts dashboard, click the account you want to export — for example your Choice, Everyday, or credit card account.

Open the transaction list
Click View all transactions or the Transactions tab to see your complete transaction history for that account.

Set your date range
Use the date filter to select your period. For a first import, 3 months is a good starting point. Westpac supports custom date ranges.

Export as CSV
Click the Export or Download button above the transaction list. Select CSV as the format and confirm the download.

Import the file into Owdyn
In Owdyn, go to Accounts, select the matching account, click Import CSV, and upload the Westpac file. Owdyn maps Westpac's column format automatically.

Do I need to give Owdyn my Westpac internet banking login?
No — never. If you connect Westpac automatically on Plus or Wise, that runs through Akahu, New Zealand's accredited open banking intermediary, so your password goes to Akahu's secure flow and never to Owdyn. If you import a CSV instead — free on every plan — you export the file yourself from Westpac One and your credentials stay with Westpac entirely.
Can I export all my Westpac accounts at once?
No — Westpac doesn't support multi-account exports in a single file, so export each account separately. Owdyn keeps them as distinct accounts on import, so nothing is merged.
How much Westpac history can I import?
Westpac lets you pick a custom date range rather than capping you at a fixed window. Three months is a good first import; add earlier files later and Owdyn detects overlaps.
