From the accounts overview, click the account you want to export — BNZ Everyday, Rapid Save, Goal Save, or credit card.
- 3

Click Export or the download icon near the transaction list. Choose CSV when prompted. The file saves to your downloads folder.
- 6
Import the file into Owdyn
In Owdyn, go to Accounts, select the matching account, click Import CSV, upload the BNZ file. Owdyn maps BNZ's columns and checks for duplicates automatically.

Your login stays with your bank
Automatic bank sync on Plus and Wise runs through Akahu — New Zealand’s accredited open banking intermediary — so your BNZ password is never shared with Owdyn. And CSV import, free on every plan, keeps your credentials with BNZ entirely. Read more on our security page.
BNZ + Owdyn, answered
Do I need to give Owdyn my BNZ internet banking login?
No — never. If you connect BNZ automatically on Plus or Wise, that runs through Akahu, New Zealand's accredited open banking intermediary, so your password goes to Akahu's secure flow and never to Owdyn. If you import a CSV instead — free on every plan — you export the file yourself from BNZ Internet Banking and your credentials stay with BNZ entirely.
How much BNZ history can I import?
Up to 12 months per export. Start with three months for a first import; you can add earlier files afterwards and Owdyn detects overlaps, so re-importing a period is safe.
Where is the export option in BNZ internet banking?
Open the account, click Transactions, then the Export or download icon near the transaction list and choose CSV. Set your date range before exporting.
Which BNZ accounts can I import?
Everyday (YouMoney) accounts, savings accounts, credit cards and joint accounts. Each exports separately — import them one at a time and Owdyn keeps them distinct.
Sync covers the banks Akahu supports; CSV import works with any NZ bank. See all banks on the banks hub.
