Works with ANZ

Use Owdyn with ANZ

ANZ is New Zealand’s largest bank — and Owdyn is built to work with it from day one. Export a statement from ANZ internet banking, drop it into Owdyn, and your transactions are categorised with NZ merchant recognition. No bank login, no waiting.

Up and running in minutes

  1. 1

Log in to ANZ internet banking

Go to anz.co.nz and click Log in to internet banking. Enter your customer number and password. Complete 2FA if prompted.

  2. 2

Open the account you want to export

From the accounts summary, click the account you want to export — ANZ Access Advantage, Online Call, or a credit card account.

  3. 3

    Open the transaction history

Click Transactions or Transaction History within the account view. ANZ loads a paginated list — you'll need to set a date range to get the full history.

  4. 4

    Set your date range

Use the From and To date fields. ANZ supports up to 12 months of history. For a first import, 3 months is a practical starting point.

  5. 5

    Export as CSV

Click Export above the transaction list. Select CSV (sometimes labelled "Spreadsheet (CSV)"). Click Export or Download — the file saves to your downloads folder.

  6. 6

    Import the file into Owdyn

In Owdyn, go to Accounts, select the matching account, click Import CSV, and upload the ANZ file. Review the preview and confirm.

ANZ internet banking lets you export transactions from any account as a CSV file — look for the export or download option on your transaction history.

Your login stays with your bank

Automatic bank sync on Plus and Wise runs through Akahu — New Zealand’s accredited open banking intermediary — so your ANZ password is never shared with Owdyn. And CSV import, free on every plan, keeps your credentials with ANZ entirely. Read more on our security page.

ANZ + Owdyn, answered

Do I need to give Owdyn my ANZ internet banking login?

No — never. If you connect ANZ automatically on Plus or Wise, that runs through Akahu, New Zealand's accredited open banking intermediary, so your password goes to Akahu's secure flow and never to Owdyn. If you import a CSV instead — free on every plan — you export the file yourself from ANZ Internet Banking and your credentials stay with ANZ entirely.

How much ANZ history can I import?

Up to 12 months — that's ANZ's own export limit. You can import several files covering different periods; Owdyn detects overlaps, so re-importing a range you already have is safe.

Can I export from the ANZ goMoney app?

No — goMoney doesn't offer CSV export. You'll need ANZ Internet Banking in a browser, on desktop or mobile. Open the account, go to Transaction History, set your date range and hit Export.

Which ANZ accounts can I import?

Everyday accounts, Savings and Serious Saver accounts, credit cards and joint accounts. Each exports separately — import them one at a time and Owdyn keeps them as distinct accounts.

Sync covers the banks Akahu supports; CSV import works with any NZ bank. See all banks on the banks hub.
